OnePlus Partners with BPL to Manufacture Tablets in India, Starting with Pad 3 and Pad Lite

OnePlus has announced a strategic partnership with Bhagwati Products Ltd. (BPL), an Indian electronics manufacturing services (EMS) company, to begin local production of its tablets. Under this collaboration, the OnePlus Pad 3 and the OnePlus Pad Lite will be manufactured at BPL’s state-of-the-art facility in Greater Noida.

This initiative expands OnePlus’s “Made in India” portfolio beyond smartphones, marking the first time the company will locally produce its tablet range. The move is part of OnePlus’s long-term Indian market strategy and its “Project Starlight” initiative, which focuses on deepening local integration and boosting manufacturing capabilities.

While OnePlus already manufactures its smartphones in India, the addition of tablets to its domestic production lineup highlights the brand’s commitment to the market. The partnership follows OnePlus’s recent collaboration with Optiemus Electronics to locally manufacture AIoT products, starting with the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z3.

Bhagwati Products Ltd. will oversee the production and localization of these tablets exclusively for the Indian market from its Greater Noida plant. This step is expected to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and strengthen the overall supply chain for OnePlus in India.
