Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 series is shaping up to be one of the company’s most ambitious launches in recent years. According to reports from FN News, Samsung’s next-generation in-house processor, the Exynos 2600, has completed development and is expected to enter mass production by the end of September 2025.

The Galaxy S26 lineup is likely to include the S26 Pro, S26 Edge, and S26 Ultra. The Pro and Edge models are tipped to feature Samsung’s new 2nm Exynos 2600, while the Ultra may stick with TSMC’s 3nm-based Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Region-specific variations may still apply, but the Exynos 2600 appears ready for broader deployment across markets.
Exynos 2600 Highlights
Built on Samsung Foundry’s 2nm process, the Exynos 2600 promises improved energy efficiency and better thermal management compared to the Exynos 2500. A key innovation is Heat Pass Block (HPB) technology, which maintains optimal temperatures during sustained performance. Early benchmark listings indicate the new chip can compete with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon offerings and Apple’s A19 Pro in both single-core and multi-core performance.
For Samsung, successfully producing a 2nm chip is not just about smartphones. Achieving this milestone could help strengthen its foundry business, which has faced challenges in recent years.
