Motorola has officially announced the global launch of the Motorola Edge 70, shortly after unveiling the Moto X70 Air in China. Entering the premium slim smartphone segment, the handset stands out with its extremely thin 5.9mm profile, making it significantly slimmer than the 7.9mm Motorola Edge 60. This streamlined design is complemented by a lightweight frame, while still offering high-end hardware and flagship-class features.
Powering the Motorola Edge 70 is the 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM for lag-free multitasking and fast response times. The device is equipped with 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, ensuring ample space and fast read-write performance. This hardware combination puts the smartphone in direct competition with upcoming premium mid-range models from major brands.
The smartphone features a 6.67-inch 1.5K pOLED display with 2712 × 1220 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 4500 nits for clearer outdoor viewing. The panel supports Water Touch Technology, allowing effortless use even with wet hands, and includes an in-display fingerprint sensor for convenient authentication.
For photography, the Motorola Edge 70 comes with a triple-camera setup on the rear. It includes a 50MP OIS primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, paired with a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens offering a 120-degree field of view, and a dedicated 3-in-1 light sensor. On the front, there is a 50MP camera designed for sharp selfies and high-quality video calls.

Despite its slim profile, Motorola has equipped the phone with a 4800mAh battery. The brand claims up to 28 hours of video playback on a full charge. Fast charging is supported via 68W TurboPower technology, accompanied by 15W wireless charging support.
The handset offers premium durability, featuring IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, along with MIL-STD-810H military-grade protection. It uses aircraft-grade aluminum for its frame, while the display is protected with Gorilla Glass 7i. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi, NFC, and support for Google Gemini voice control.
In Europe, the Motorola Edge 70 has been priced at €800 for the 12GB + 512GB model. The device will be available in Gadget Grey, Lilly Pad, and Bronze Green color options. While the phone is yet to be confirmed for the Indian market, anticipation is building given Motorola’s recent strategy in India’s premium segment. Users in India can expect possible hints of release in the coming weeks.
