Samsung has quietly rolled back the controversial price hike of the Galaxy M47 5G in India. Just days after increasing the smartphone’s price by as much as ₹8,000 across all variants, the company has restored the handset to its original launch pricing on Amazon.
The move comes as good news for buyers who had delayed their purchase after the unexpected price increase. The Galaxy M47 5G is now once again available at the same price it debuted with on June 29, 2026.
Samsung Galaxy M47 5G is back to its launch price
According to the latest Amazon listings, the Galaxy M47 5G is once again available at the following prices:
- 6GB RAM + 128GB Storage – ₹25,999
- 8GB RAM + 128GB Storage – ₹28,999
- 8GB RAM + 256GB Storage – ₹33,999
Amazon is also offering an additional bank discount, allowing eligible Axis Bank credit card users to purchase the base variant for as low as ₹24,499.
Earlier this month, Samsung had silently increased the prices by ₹8,000 without making any official announcement. The unexpected hike received criticism from smartphone buyers and the tech community, especially since it happened only a few days after the phone’s launch.
While Samsung has still not shared the reason behind either the price hike or the latest rollback, industry reports had suggested that rising memory component costs could have been one of the reasons behind the temporary increase.
