Indian smartphone brand Lava has revealed its plans for the second half of 2026, showing that the company is preparing for one of its biggest years yet. During a recent interaction with media, Lava’s Product Head and Senior Vice President, Sumit Singh, shared details about the company’s upcoming smartphones, AI strategy, international expansion, and future software plans.
The roadmap includes six new smartphones, a brand-new gaming-focused series, expansion into the UK and Europe, the development of Lava’s own custom Android UI, improved AI capabilities, and better after-sales service for customers.
Lava to Launch Six New Smartphones in 2026

Lava confirmed that it will introduce around six new smartphones in India during the second half of 2026.
The company says most of these devices will be priced below ₹20,000, while only one or two models are expected to cross the ₹20,000 mark. Lava believes the sub-₹20,000 segment will remain one of the most competitive smartphone categories, making it an important focus for the brand.
New Gaming Smartphone Series Coming Soon
Lava also announced a completely new smartphone series expected to launch by August 2026.
The upcoming lineup will target users looking for gaming-focused smartphones in the ₹20,000 to ₹25,000 price segment.
Expected highlights include:
- Powerful gaming-focused processor
- LPDDR5 RAM
- High-performance hardware
- Value-for-money pricing
The company also confirmed that its Vayu AI platform will expand to more smartphones, including several models priced below ₹20,000.

More Than Smartphones
Besides smartphones, Lava plans to launch additional feature phones and new smart audio products, including wireless earbuds, in the coming months.
Lava Expands to the UK and Europe
Lava currently sells smartphones across India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the Middle East, and several South Asian markets.
Now the company is preparing to enter the UK and European markets.
According to Lava, customers in Europe prefer smartphones with premium hardware compared to entry-level Indian buyers. Because of this, Lava will customize hardware configurations to better match regional preferences.
Lava Agni 4 Will Lead the Global Expansion
The Lava Agni 4 will become the company’s first smartphone to launch in the UK and Europe.
While most specifications are expected to remain similar to the Indian version, the international model will include NFC support, a feature commonly expected by European consumers.
The company also revealed that it plans to expand into African markets after its UK and European launch.
Lava is Developing Its Own Custom UI
One of the biggest announcements is Lava’s work on its own Android-based user interface.
According to the company, the custom UI is being designed to simplify everyday smartphone usage by reducing the number of steps needed to complete common tasks.
The official name of the new Lava UI will be announced in the near future.
AI Will Play a Bigger Role
Lava is also investing heavily in artificial intelligence.
The company says it is working on Agentic AI, which aims to become more than a traditional chatbot. Instead of only answering questions, the AI assistant will understand user behavior, adapt to individual preferences, and provide a more personalized smartphone experience.
Vayu AI will continue expanding across Lava’s smartphone lineup over the coming months.
Home Phone Repairs Could Become Easier
Lava already offers a “Service at Home” program where technicians visit customers for smartphone servicing.
Now the company is developing a specialized repair kit that could allow technicians to diagnose and repair certain smartphones directly at customers’ homes, reducing the need for service center visits.
