Samsung has officially announced key specifications for its upcoming LPDDR6 memory ahead of its grand unveiling at CES 2026, which will be held during the first week of January next year. The new memory technology aims to deliver a breakthrough in performance, energy efficiency, and security for the next generation of intelligent devices.

The LPDDR6 memory is developed on Samsung’s advanced 12nm process and supports blazing data transfer rates of up to 10.7Gbps. It also features an expanded I/O count to maximize bandwidth, making it ideal for high-demand applications such as mobile computing, AI workloads, and edge devices.

Samsung’s new dynamic power management system allows LPDDR6 to intelligently adjust power consumption depending on the workload, achieving around 21% better energy efficiency than its predecessor. Additionally, the LPDDR6 module incorporates upgraded security mechanisms to protect data integrity, extending its use beyond mobile devices into industrial and mission-critical AI systems.

With its scalable, cross-platform architecture and eco-conscious design, LPDDR6 strikes a fine balance between performance, reliability, and sustainability — marking a significant step forward in Samsung’s memory innovation roadmap.

While Samsung has not yet confirmed which devices or platforms will debut the LPDDR6 technology, more information is expected to surface during CES 2026.
