The Poco F8 series is moving closer to its global launch, and the latest development confirms the arrival of the Poco F8 Pro. The device has now surfaced on Thailand’s NBTC certification database, indicating that Poco is preparing to introduce its next flagship killer to international markets very soon.
According to the NBTC listing, the smartphone carries the model number 2510DPC44G and is certified under the cellular category supporting GSM, WCDMA, LTE, and 5G NR networks. This model number closely aligns with the Redmi K90 (2510DRK44C), recently launched in China, strongly hinting that the Poco F8 Pro is a global rebrand of the Redmi K90.
The only differences between the model identifiers are the “DRK” changed to “DPC” and the regional code shifting from “C” (China) to “G” (Global). These naming similarities further support earlier reports that Poco will continue its rebranding strategy, bringing the successful Redmi K flagship lineup to international users under the Poco branding.
While an earlier leak suggested that the Redmi K90 might launch globally as the Poco F8, the NBTC listing now clarifies that the Poco F8 Pro will be the corresponding rebranded model instead. Meanwhile, the rumored Poco F8 Ultra—expected to be based on the Redmi K90 Pro Max—may debut with the top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
In terms of hardware, the Poco F8 Pro is likely to feature the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, positioning it as a powerful contender in the upper-midrange and affordable flagship segment. It may also include Sound by Bose tuned stereo speakers, mirroring the Redmi K90’s configuration, though the design may retain a cleaner look without the additional speaker grille near the camera module.
More details regarding its charging speed, display, and camera configuration are expected to surface soon. However, if it mirrors the Redmi K90, users can expect a premium display, powerful performance, and competitive pricing focused on gaming and enthusiasts.
Poco has a strong track record of delivering high-performance devices at disruptive pricing, and the Poco F8 Pro appears to continue that tradition. With certification now in place, an official announcement could follow in the coming weeks.
