Oppo is preparing to expand its tablet lineup with the upcoming Oppo Pad 5, while OnePlus is set to introduce its rebranded version as the OnePlus Pad 2. According to a fresh leak from trusted tipster Digital Chat Station, the full specifications and configurations of both tablets have surfaced, giving a clear look at what’s coming next.

Interestingly, the Oppo Pad 5 marks a shift in naming, as the company seems to be skipping the “Pad 4” branding entirely. Previously, Oppo launched the Pad 3 and Pad 3 Pro in China, followed by the Pad 4 Pro earlier this year with Snapdragon 8 Elite under the hood. Now, the Pad 5 is gearing up to make its debut, reportedly alongside the Oppo Find X9 series expected in October.
The Oppo Pad 5 is said to feature a large 12.1-inch LCD display with a 3K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals for gaming and productivity. On the back, the device will sport a single 8-megapixel rear camera, while details of the front camera remain under wraps. Powering the tablet will be MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset, paired with a massive 10,300mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging.
As for configurations, the Oppo Pad 5 will be offered in multiple variants: 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 16GB+512GB, giving users plenty of options based on their needs. It is tipped to weigh around 579 grams and will be available in Purple, Silver, and Gray color options.
Meanwhile, OnePlus will introduce the same tablet in China as the OnePlus Pad 2, carrying identical specifications but arriving in different shades, including Blue and Gray. This strategy continues OnePlus’ approach of rebranding Oppo tablets for global and regional launches, as seen with previous models.
With the Oppo Pad 5 and OnePlus Pad 2 leaks surfacing ahead of their official launch, it looks like both brands are preparing to compete strongly in the premium Android tablet space this year. More details, including pricing and availability, should emerge closer to the official unveiling.
