The upcoming flagship smartphones from Realme, iQOO, OnePlus, and Redmi are shaping up to bring significant improvements in camera hardware. chinese tipster DCS, suggests that each brand is equipping its device with advanced sensors to deliver competitive imaging performance.
Realme GT 8 Pro is expected to feature a 1/1.5-inch main sensor, rumored to be either the Sony LYT-700 or IMX906. Additionally, it could house a 1/1.56-inch 200MP periscope telephoto camera, possibly the Samsung HP5, designed to enhance zoom photography.
iQOO 15 is said to include a 1/1.5-inch main sensor, which might be the Sony IMX921. Its periscope telephoto camera is tipped to use a 1/1.95-inch sensor, likely the Sony LYT-600 or IMX882, offering versatility in long-range shots.
OnePlus 15 may use a 1/1.5-inch main sensor, reportedly either the Sony LYT-700 or IMX906, similar to the Realme GT 8 Pro. However, its periscope telephoto setup could differ, as leaks point to a smaller 1/2.76-inch sensor, possibly the Samsung JN5.
Redmi K90 Pro, which may launch globally as the Poco F8 Ultra, could push imaging further with a larger 1/1.3-inch main camera sensor, likely the OmniVision Light Fusion 950 used in the Xiaomi 17. Its periscope telephoto camera is also rumored to use the 1/2.76-inch Samsung JN5, with possible support for telephoto macro shots.
Overall, while Realme and OnePlus seem to be aligning their camera strategies with Sony LYT and Samsung sensors, Redmi is expected to stand out with a larger OmniVision sensor on the K90 Pro. iQOO, on the other hand, appears to be focusing on balanced hardware with potential Sony sensors for both main and telephoto cameras.
