Xiaomi has officially introduced the Xiaomi 17 Pro and the new 17 Pro Max variant alongside the standard Xiaomi 17 in China. The latest Pro lineup brings major design and performance upgrades, including dual OLED displays, advanced imaging technology, and massive batteries.
The Xiaomi 17 Pro features a 6.3-inch 1.5K flat LTPO OLED panel with a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate and ultra-slim bezels using LIPO display packaging. It also houses a 2.7-inch 120Hz rear AMOLED screen, enabling notifications, customizable watch faces, AI wallpapers, dynamic pets, and even rear-camera selfies.
The larger Xiaomi 17 Pro Max sports a 6.9-inch 2K LTPO OLED display with independent pixel array technology, sharper clarity, and reduced power consumption. It also includes Xiaomi Shield Glass 3.0 for durability and a 2.9-inch 120Hz AMOLED back screen. Both models use SuperRED luminous material, delivering up to 3500 nits peak brightness.
The back display supports versatile features such as AI wallpapers, flight and train updates, music controls, QR pinning, and even transforms into a handheld console when paired with Xiaomi’s exclusive case.
On the imaging front, the Xiaomi 17 Pro series is equipped with Leica Summilux optics. The main 50MP Light Fusion 950L sensor with f/1.67 aperture ensures exceptional low-light performance. The 17 Pro includes an inverted floating telephoto lens with tele-macro shots, while the 17 Pro Max gets a 5x periscope telephoto lens with enhanced HDR and 30% more light intake. Both models feature a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP upgraded front sensor for high-quality selfies and 4K 60fps video.
Under the hood, the devices are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 3nm chipset paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. They run on Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and offer UWB connectivity for smart car key functionality.
Battery capacity is another highlight, with the 17 Pro packing a 6300mAh cell and the Pro Max boasting a huge 7500mAh unit. Both support 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 22.5W reverse wired/wireless charging, ensuring fast and flexible power management.
Other features include IP68 dust and water resistance, in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, Hi-Res stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and extensive connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and GPS with NavIC support.
