The Vivo S50 is Vivo’s latest large-screen offering in the S50 family, combining flagship-class battery and camera hardware with a roomy 6.59-inch flat OLED display. The panel delivers a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for sharp, smooth visuals, making it a strong pick for media, gaming, and everyday use.
Under the hood the S50 uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, delivering responsive performance across demanding apps and multitasking. The phone runs Android 16 with Vivo’s OriginOS 6 skin, bringing software refinements and customization options on top of the latest Android features.
Battery life is a highlight: a 6,500mAh cell combined with 90W wired charging promises long runtimes and fast top-ups. The device also includes a high-resolution 50MP front camera for selfies and a versatile rear camera system made up of a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 50MP periscope telephoto (Sony IMX882) designed for better zoom performance and detailed shots.
The phone retains practical flagship touches including an in-screen fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking. Despite the large battery and display, the S50 remains reasonably slim and manageable at roughly 157.52 x 74.33 x 7.5 mm and a weight of about 197 grams.
Vivo will offer multiple memory configurations to suit different needs: 12GB+256GB, 16GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, and 16GB+512GB. Colour choices include Space Black, Inspirational Purple, Serene Blue, and Confession White, giving buyers both classic and more expressive finishes.
The Vivo S50 is scheduled to go on sale on December 20. For comparisons within Vivo’s recent lineup and further updates, read our Vivo X300 family coverage and other Vivo stories at passionategeekz.com/vivo and passionategeekz.com/vivo-x300.
