realme has officially confirmed another major highlight of its upcoming realme GT 8 Pro. After announcing that the device will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, the company revealed that the flagship will feature a 2K 144Hz Sky Screen from BOE, utilizing custom Q10+ luminous material. Notably, the predecessor realme GT 7 Pro came with a Samsung panel.

According to popular tipster Digital Chat Station, the display will be a flat 6.78-inch screen offering peak brightness of up to 7000 nits, an upgrade over the 6000 nits on its predecessor. It will also support 1-nit ultra-low brightness, global full-brightness DC dimming, and circular polarization, ensuring enhanced outdoor visibility and better eye comfort.
The device recently passed 3C certification, confirming 120W fast charging, similar to the GT 7 Pro. However, this time, the battery capacity is expected to exceed 7000mAh, making it one of the largest in its segment. Wireless charging support is also rumored, a feature absent in the previous generation.
Other leaked details include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, IP68 dust and water resistance, dual 115E speakers, and an X-axis linear motor for improved haptics. The design is also set to take a bold turn, with a new triple-camera module featuring two circular lenses alongside a square-shaped periscope telephoto sensor, giving the phone a unique “robot-like” appearance.
On the camera front, realme has confirmed that the GT 8 Pro will debut a 200MP periscope telephoto camera — the first ever on a realme device. Reports further suggest it will be paired with a 50MP primary sensor and an ultra-wide camera, ensuring flagship-grade photography capabilities.
With an October launch window, the realme GT 8 series is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated flagship smartphone releases of the year. More details about pricing and availability are expected to surface in the coming weeks.
