Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco is reportedly preparing to launch a new tablet, the Poco Pad M1, which is expected to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Pad 2 Pro that went global just yesterday. The upcoming Poco device has now been spotted on the Google Play Console Supported Devices list, giving the first official hint about its existence.

The Poco Pad M1 appears on the console with the model number 2509ARPBDG. While the “2509” code could suggest a September launch, the timing seems tight as the month is nearly over. The trailing “G” in the model number indicates this is the global variant of the device.

Although the Google Play Console listing does not reveal detailed specifications, it does suggest that the Poco Pad M1 is likely the Wi-Fi-only variant. This is inferred from the device code “flute,” which is also associated with the Redmi Pad 2 Pro Wi-Fi-only model. Based on this, the Poco Pad M1 is expected to carry very similar specifications to the Redmi Pad 2 Pro, including display, processor, and connectivity features.

Additionally, the Poco Pad M1 has appeared in multiple certification databases, including the FCC, SIRIM, IMDA, and SDPPI. Its keyboard accessory has also been certified in the same regions, hinting that a full tablet package will be launched soon.

While we await an official announcement from Poco, the Poco Pad M1 is expected to mirror the Redmi Pad 2 Pro Wi-Fi variant in specifications, making it a promising option for users looking for a mid-range global tablet from Poco. More updates on pricing, availability, and features are expected to emerge in the coming weeks.
