OnePlus has officially started rolling out the stable OxygenOS 16 update for the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13s in India, bringing a major software upgrade packed with AI-powered features, UI refinements, and performance improvements. The rollout is phased, meaning users will receive it gradually over the coming days. The update file is sizeable, weighing around 3.49GB for the OnePlus 13 and 3.42GB for the OnePlus 13s, making it one of the most feature-rich upgrades yet for the flagship series.
According to early recipients, the update arrives with firmware version CPH2649_16.0.0.210(EX01) for the OnePlus 13 and CPH2723_16.0.0.211(EX01) for the OnePlus 13s. OnePlus has not yet shared timelines for other regions, but given the Indian rollout has begun, a global release is expected soon.
OxygenOS 16 introduces a refreshed visual experience with enhanced animations across the system, including smoother transitions, improved drag-and-drop gestures, and upgraded lock-screen effects. OnePlus has revamped the Home screen experience with cleaner icon layouts, refined folder designs, and adjustable icon grid sizes for a more personalised and modern interface.
The update also enhances gaming and multitasking thanks to the Trinity Engine, which dynamically optimises system resources for smoother performance during high-load usage. Users can expect faster app launches, better background power management, and more consistent performance in intensive gaming sessions.
AI capabilities also receive a major boost. OxygenOS 16 adds AI-powered features like better on-device document scanning, smart editing tools for photos and videos, enhanced voice recording with noise reduction, AI writing assistance across apps, and improved translation capabilities. Mind Space adds deeper AI memory and note-taking tools for improved productivity and personal content management.
Other improvements include enhanced file sharing, upgraded connectivity features via O+ Connect, improved privacy controls, dynamic Always-On Display visuals, and system-wide user interface refinements for a more fluid experience. The update also brings new power-saving strategies and battery management to extend device runtime.
Users who have installed the update so far report no major issues, though availability will continue to expand over the next couple of weeks. Those who wish to check manually can head to Settings > System Updates.
OnePlus is clearly focused on making OxygenOS a powerful, visually rich platform tuned for AI productivity and seamless performance, giving users a more immersive premium experience with their flagship devices.
