Xiaomi has expanded its tablet lineup with the launch of the Redmi Pad 2 Pro series and the compact Xiaomi Pad Mini, offering users powerful hardware, high-refresh-rate displays, and competitive pricing.

The Redmi Pad 2 Pro lineup includes three models: the Pad 2 Pro (Wi-Fi), Pad 2 Pro 5G, and the Pad 2 Pro Matte Glass Edition. All three feature a 12.1-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2.5K resolution, up to 600 nits brightness, and support for Dolby Vision. The tablets also come with DC dimming and are certified by TÜV Rheinland for reduced blue light emissions. The Matte Glass Edition is particularly unique, featuring an AG nano-textured screen that claims to cut glare by up to 97%.

Powering the series is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC, paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB storage, expandable up to 2TB via microSD. For cameras, the Pad 2 Pro and Matte Glass Edition sport an 8MP rear camera, while the Pad 2 Pro 5G offers a higher-resolution 13MP camera. All three tablets feature an 8MP front-facing sensor for selfies and video calls.

Battery life is handled by a massive 12,000mAh cell with 33W fast charging. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and 5G support on the Pad 2 Pro 5G. Audio is covered by quad speakers with Dolby Atmos, while software is based on HyperOS 2, with support for Google Gemini AI and Circle to Search.

Alongside the Redmi series, Xiaomi also unveiled the Pad Mini, a compact powerhouse with an 8.8-inch 3K display and a 165Hz refresh rate. The panel supports Dolby Vision, 700 nits peak brightness, and full DC dimming. Under the hood, it runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ SoC, with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.

The Pad Mini features a 13MP rear camera with 4K recording at 30fps and an 8MP front sensor. Its 7,500mAh battery supports 67W fast charging and 18W reverse wired charging. Notably, it comes with dual USB-C ports, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio, as well as Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, all in a lightweight 326g body.
