Following the launch of the 2025 Moto G06 series, Motorola is gearing up for the 2026 lineup, including the Moto G 2026 and Moto G Play 2026. Leaked official renders and detailed specifications, shared by AndroidHeadlines, offer a clear look at the design and hardware of both devices.
Design-wise, the Moto G 2026 and Moto G Play 2026 are almost identical. Both feature flat displays with centered hole-punch cameras, uneven bezels with a thicker bottom, and slightly curved flat frames. All buttons are positioned on the right, with the power button below separated volume keys. The SIM tray is on the left, while the bottom houses a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The rear showcases a raised camera island covered in eco-leather matching the back panel, providing additional grip. The Moto G 2026 will be available in PANTONE Cattleya Orchid, and the Moto G Play 2026 comes in PANTONE Tapestry.

The Moto G 2026 boasts a 6.7-inch HD+ display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of 1,000 nits, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The rear camera setup includes a 50MP Quad Pixel main sensor and a dedicated Macro Vision camera, while the 32MP front camera handles selfies. Camera modes include Hyperlapse, Timelapse, Slow Motion, Auto Smile Capture, Dual Capture, Night Vision, Portrait, Face Retouch, Gesture Selfie, and Photo Booth.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor paired with 4GB RAM and RAM Boost for virtual memory expansion. Storage is 128GB UFS 2.2, expandable via microSD. A 5,200mAh battery with 30W TurboPower charging supports up to two days of usage. Additional features include Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, a water-repellent build, Android 16, and software enhancements like Google Gemini, Circle to Search, Family Space, Moto Unplugged, Moto Secure, ThinkShield, and Face Unlock.
The Moto G Play 2026 shares the 6.7-inch HD+ display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by the same MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB UFS 2.2 storage (expandable via microSD). The rear camera is a 32MP Quad Pixel sensor, and the front camera is 8MP. Battery capacity matches the Moto G 2026 at 5,200mAh, but charging is limited to 18W TurboPower. The device also includes stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, water repellency, Android 16, Bluetooth 5.3, and the same suite of Motorola software features.
With these leaks, the Moto G 2026 and Moto G Play 2026 promise a consistent design language, robust performance, and a wide range of software and multimedia enhancements for the 2026 Moto G lineup.
