Xiaomi is preparing to expand its tablet lineup with a new compact offering for global markets. According to reports, the company plans to rebrand the Redmi K Pad, which launched in China earlier this year, as the Xiaomi Pad Mini for international release.
While the official date has not been confirmed, leaks suggest that the Xiaomi Pad Mini could debut on September 24, possibly sharing the stage with the upcoming Xiaomi 15T series.
The Pad Mini is expected to retain the same hardware as the Redmi K Pad. This includes an 8.8-inch LCD display with 2.5K resolution and a smooth 165Hz refresh rate, powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ chipset. Backing the device is a 7,500mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging. The all-metal build, along with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera, makes it a well-balanced tablet designed for both performance and portability.
On the software front, the tablet is tipped to run HyperOS 2 based on Android 15 out of the box, offering improved multitasking features and UI refinements.
The global compact tablet market is becoming increasingly competitive. The Xiaomi Pad Mini is expected to go head-to-head with Apple’s iPad Mini and RedMagic’s Astra tablet. While it may lack extras like OLED panels or SIM connectivity, its strong specifications and competitive pricing could make it attractive for students, gamers, and users seeking a premium yet portable device.
If the timeline holds, Xiaomi could unveil the Pad Mini globally later this month, giving buyers another solid option in the high-performance compact tablet category.v

Excellent breakdown, I completely agree with the challenges you described. For our projects we started using an AI-driven system called AI link building by OptiLinkAI, and it has simplified the entire process. It’s refreshing to see technology finally making link acquisition smarter, not just faster.
