Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi Pad 8 and Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro in China, unveiled alongside the Xiaomi 17 series smartphones. Both tablets bring powerful hardware, premium design, and an upgraded software experience with HyperOS 3, aiming to deliver a laptop-like productivity experience and enhanced entertainment features.

Both tablets feature an 11.2-inch 3.2K LCD display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, 144Hz adaptive refresh rate, Dolby Vision support, and TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification. The Soft Light Edition incorporates AG nano-texture and AR coating, reducing reflectivity by up to 70%. With a 5.75mm thickness and full-metal unibody design, the tablets weigh just under 500g, making them sleek and portable.
Performance-wise, the Pad 8 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, while the Pad 8 Pro uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite, ensuring smooth multitasking, gaming, and PC-grade workloads. Both house a 9200mAh battery — the Pad 8 supports 45W fast charging, while the Pad 8 Pro supports 67W charging, promising up to 10.5 hours of video playback.
For imaging, the Pad 8 features a 13MP rear and 8MP front camera, whereas the Pad 8 Pro boasts a 50MP rear and 32MP front camera. Both support AI-powered functions such as real-time transcription, voiceprint extraction, and 29-language live interpretation. Audio is handled by quad speakers with Dolby Atmos, and the Pad 8 Pro further enhances sound with Harman AudioEFX tuning.
HyperOS 3 brings a dynamic and adaptive UI with split-screen multitasking, a 9-grid workstation layout, AI wallpapers, and PC-level productivity apps such as WPS and CAD viewers. The tablets also support secondary screen projection, Apple cross-platform file transfer, and Super Xiao Ai assistant for AI-driven tasks.
Accessories include the Focus Touch Pen Pro with low latency, gesture controls, hover preview, and realistic brush flow for creative tasks, and a Floating Keyboard with 0°–124° adjustment, mechanical touchpad, and large keycaps for laptop-style productivity.
