Tecno Camon 50 Ultra Launched in India With 144Hz Curved AMOLED Display and 50MP Selfie Camera

Tecno has officially launched the Tecno Camon 50 Ultra in India, bringing a premium smartphone packed with flagship-like features. The device offers a stylish Silk-Flow design, a curved AMOLED display, a powerful MediaTek chipset, flagship-grade cameras, and a large battery, making it one of the most feature-rich smartphones in its segment.

The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate processor built on a 4nm process. It runs Android 16 with HiOS 16 and comes with LPDDR5X RAM. Tecno also offers Extended RAM technology, allowing the 8GB physical RAM to be expanded by another 8GB virtually for smoother multitasking.

The Camon 50 Ultra features a 6.78-inch 1.5K Curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 2304Hz PWM dimming, and up to 4,500 nits peak brightness. The display also includes ProXDR Eye Care technology and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

Photography is one of the biggest highlights of the Camon 50 Ultra. The phone features a triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP Sony LYT700C sensor with OIS. It is paired with a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. On the front, users get a high-resolution 50MP selfie camera for detailed selfies and video calls.

Powering the smartphone is a massive 6,500mAh battery that Tecno claims can maintain healthy performance for up to five years. The device supports 45W fast charging, ensuring users can quickly recharge when needed.

The Camon 50 Ultra is also built to last. It comes with MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification along with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, offering excellent protection against dust, water, high-pressure water jets, mud, and even hot water exposure.

In India, the Tecno Camon 50 Ultra is priced at ₹39,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. As part of the launch offer, buyers can avail an instant discount of ₹3,000, bringing the effective price down to ₹36,999. The smartphone will go on sale starting July 21 via Amazon and will be available in Cypress Green, Misty Purple, and Nebula Titanium colour options.
