Philips appears to be entering the Indian smartphone arena, as two new models from the brand have been teased via the X account of Zenotel India Pvt Ltd — the official mobile distributor for Philips in India. The teaser campaign uses the lines “Innovation meets elegance” and “Something exciting is coming soon,” indicating a forthcoming launch.
The teaser poster reveals glimpses of the two upcoming models’ designs. Both phones adopt a somewhat boxy silhouette with rounded edges. One features a camera module reminiscent of ultra-flagship models — five circular elements housing three sensors, an LED flash, and a ring light, all arranged in a vertical rectangular module at the top-left. The second model sports a squircle camera island with two sensors, an LED ring light and an additional sensor. Both devices carry the Philips logo centrally placed on the rear panel and are shown in darker and lighter grey color finishes.
No detailed specifications have been revealed yet, but the teaser hints at camera-centric designs, premium finishes and distinct styling cues for the Indian smartphone market. The upcoming launch could signal Philips’ strategy to expand beyond its traditional home electronics presence into mobile devices in India, joining peers such as Acer and Alcatel.
