Ubisoft has officially released the latest Title Update 1.1.4 for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, introducing a wide range of new content, gameplay enhancements, and important fixes. The update is available across all platforms with varying patch sizes: Xbox Series X|S (9.97GB), PlayStation 5 (3.44GB), PC (9.4GB), Steam (4.7GB), and Mac (9GB).

The new update introduces a brand-new activity called Corrupted Castles, along with the highly requested Advanced Parkour option and a set of Golden Weapons as rewards for completing various in-game challenges.

Corrupted Castles are redesigned versions of previously conquered fortresses filled with Animus anomalies and enhanced enemies such as Corrupted Samurai Daisho. These modified castles can be revisited for fresh battles and valuable loot. Players at level 30 and above who have cleared at least three castles will see up to five corrupted locations appear per season. Each completion rewards exclusive gear and gold, providing more replayability and challenge.

The Advanced Parkour feature adds a new toggle in settings, granting players greater control and freedom in movement. It refines side and back eject maneuvers and introduces new mechanics like a manual jump option, vertical ledge grabs on non-standing objects, and directional ledge catches for smoother traversal.

The update also introduces Golden Weapons that can be unlocked through specific achievements — for example, the Tanto after completing all Legendary Sumi-e tasks, the Bow for mastering Horse Archery, and the Kanabo for reaching level 100. These weapons add visual flair and higher-tier bonuses to player loadouts.

Ubisoft has also balanced the Anomalies and Projects systems by reducing Infinite Reward tier keys from 400 to 100 and repositioning the Anomalies tab in the rewards section. Each weekly rotation will now include a new Anomaly tied to Corrupted Castles, providing Data Fragments upon completion.

Alongside new content, the update addresses numerous gameplay and stability issues. Fixes include corrected NPC dialogue, improved navigation, increased XP rewards for Animus Anomalies, reduced in-game gold prices, and multiple crash prevention measures during key story missions. Visual adjustments fix floating objects, lighting issues, and misplaced environmental assets, while localization and Photo Mode improvements enhance the overall polish.

Additionally, several quest-related bugs have been resolved, ensuring smoother progression through storylines like “Thrown to the Dogs,” “Defend Local Pilgrims,” and “Out of the Shadows.” The update also improves stability during major boss fights and rebalances perks across armor and weapons.

With these changes, Assassin’s Creed Shadows players can expect a richer and more stable experience, blending challenging new content with refined gameplay systems. Ubisoft continues to evol
