Xiaomi Makes IFA 2026 Debut With Huge Human × Car × Home Ecosystem Showcase

Xiaomi has made a big statement at IFA 2026 in Berlin. For the first time, the company has brought its own large-scale exhibition to IFA, covering more than 3,300 square meters and showcasing over 380 products and technologies.

But this is not just another product showcase. Xiaomi is using IFA 2026 to show how its bigger “Human × Car × Home” vision is coming together, connecting smartphones, smart home devices, cars and AI into one ecosystem.

Xiaomi Wants AI to Become Part of Everyday Life

The main focus of Xiaomi’s IFA 2026 showcase is AI. The company believes the future of AI is not simply about asking questions on a phone screen. Instead, AI should understand what is happening around you and help different devices work together.

For example, Xiaomi showed a scenario where a user is driving home and the system can use information such as time, location and weather to prepare the home before the person arrives. Lights and air conditioning can be adjusted automatically.

Another example is even simpler: asking the system to print a photo that was just taken. Multiple devices can work together to complete the task without the user having to manually control every device.

Xiaomi says these experiences are powered by AI and Xiaomi HyperOS, allowing compatible devices to communicate and coordinate across different situations while keeping the user in control.

Xiaomi 18 Fold Makes an Appearance

One of the most exciting products shown at IFA 2026 is the Xiaomi 18 Fold. Xiaomi describes it as its first flagship smartphone powered by the next-generation Xiaomi XRING O3 chip.

The phone represents Xiaomi’s latest push into foldable devices, mobile computing and on-device intelligence. Its appearance at IFA also shows that Xiaomi is positioning its own chip technology as an important part of its future smartphone strategy.

Xiaomi Auto Is Going Global

Xiaomi is also putting serious attention on cars. At IFA 2026, the company showcased three vehicles, including the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo concept, the new-generation Xiaomi SU7 and the high-performance Xiaomi SU7 Ultra.

The Vision Gran Turismo is particularly wild. Designed as a virtual electric hypercar for the Gran Turismo franchise, it explores futuristic aerodynamics, performance and intelligent interaction. Xiaomi says the concept is shaped around airflow and features ideas such as an Active Wake Control System and a futuristic ring-shaped Xiaomi Pulse assistant.

The new-generation Xiaomi SU7 focuses on the smart electric sedan experience, with deep integration into Xiaomi HyperOS and the wider Xiaomi ecosystem. Meanwhile, the SU7 Ultra represents the company’s high-performance flagship and builds on Xiaomi Auto’s engineering work at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

Xiaomi Auto has already delivered more than 700,000 vehicles in mainland China. The company is now preparing for its European expansion, with Xiaomi Auto expected to enter European markets, including Germany, in 2027. Xiaomi has also signed agreements with eight German automotive dealer groups as an early step toward creating its European retail and service network.

Mijia Is Expanding Across Europe

Xiaomi’s smart home ambitions are getting bigger too. At IFA 2026, the company announced the large-scale expansion of Mijia across Europe under the “The Art of Smart Living” positioning.

Mijia already covers more than 2,000 products across over 130 categories. Xiaomi wants these products to work together rather than simply operate as individual connected appliances.

Through the Xiaomi Home app, compatible Mijia products can be managed from one platform and coordinated across different home situations. Xiaomi says the goal is to make smart home technology feel more natural and useful instead of forcing users to control every device separately.

AI, Chips and Smart Manufacturing

Behind this ecosystem is Xiaomi’s growing investment in its own technology. The company says it is continuing to develop AI, operating systems, chips and smart manufacturing capabilities.

Xiaomi is also working on its in-house large-model technologies, including MiMo-V2.5-Pro, Xiaomi Miloco and Xiaomi Miclaw. The company wants AI to move beyond answering questions and become capable of handling more complex real-world tasks.

Its manufacturing operations are also becoming more advanced. Xiaomi says its smart manufacturing facilities cover smartphones, cars and home appliances. Its smart smartphone factory has an annual production capacity of around 10 million flagship smartphones, while the Xiaomi Smart Factory in Wuhan includes 46 laboratories for research, production and validation.

The company is even testing humanoid robots in manufacturing. At the Xiaomi Auto Factory, robots have been used for tasks such as nut tightening, with Xiaomi reporting an improvement in success rate from around 90% to 98% over four months.

A Huge Investment in the Future

Xiaomi is not stopping with today’s products. The company says it expects its global R&D investment to exceed €24 billion between 2026 and 2030.

The investment will cover areas including AI, operating systems, semiconductor technology, smart vehicles, robotics and smart manufacturing. Xiaomi’s goal is to create technologies that can be shared across its smartphones, cars and smart home products.

That makes IFA 2026 more important for Xiaomi than a simple European product event. The company is showing a much bigger plan: one ecosystem where your phone, home and car can understand each other and work together.

With Xiaomi 18 Fold, Xiaomi Auto, Mijia, AI and HyperOS all becoming parts of the same strategy, Xiaomi is clearly trying to move beyond being just a smartphone company. Its “Human × Car × Home” vision could become one of the company’s biggest moves for the global market in the years ahead.
