Mivi One 5G Starts Under ₹15,000, But a ₹30,000 Smartphone Is Coming Next

Mivi is officially stepping into the smartphone market with the Mivi One 5G, and the company is making it clear that this is only the beginning. The first Mivi smartphone is set to launch in India on September 24 and is expected to be priced under ₹15,000.

The Mivi One 5G is being built around a simple idea: deliver useful hardware with a clean and minimal software experience. The company is promising a bloatware-free experience, while the phone is expected to run Android 16 out of the box. Mivi is also working with Google, Qualcomm and Flipkart for its smartphone entry.

On the performance side, Mivi has confirmed a Qualcomm Snapdragon 5G platform, while a Geekbench listing strongly points to the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. The tested device appeared with 6GB RAM and Android 16, scoring 677 points in single-core and 1,490 points in multi-core testing.

The phone is expected to offer up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, along with 128GB and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage options. This should give the One 5G enough performance for everyday apps, social media, streaming and casual gaming while keeping power consumption under control.

According to the leaked specifications, the smartphone could feature a large 6.79-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is also expected to pack a 6,000mAh battery with 18W charging, making battery life another major focus of the device.

For photography, the One 5G is expected to feature a 50MP primary rear camera alongside a secondary camera. An 8MP front camera is also expected. The phone has been teased in a green finish with a flat design, rounded corners and two large circular camera rings on the rear.

Mivi Plans for Q1 2027

Mivi is also highlighting its Indian manufacturing credentials. The One 5G will be manufactured in Hyderabad and sold through Flipkart, giving the brand a direct entry into India’s highly competitive affordable 5G market.

However, the most interesting part of Mivi’s smartphone story is what comes next. Mivi executive Himanshu Tandon has revealed that the company plans to move into the ₹30,000 smartphone segment by March 2027. This shows that the One 5G is not simply a one-off product, but the starting point of a much larger smartphone strategy.

Tandon has also clarified that Mivi’s plans for an in-house PCBA are still a work in progress. Therefore, the Mivi One 5G should not be described as having an in-house designed PCBA.

With the One 5G, Mivi is taking its first step into smartphones at a price point below ₹15,000. If the company can deliver strong performance, clean software, good battery life and competitive pricing, it could attract plenty of attention. And with a ₹30,000 smartphone already planned, Mivi’s real smartphone journey could get much more interesting over the next few months.
