vivo is expected to launch the S70 series in China as early as this November. Multiple leaks from reliable tipsters, including Digital Chat Station, point to meaningful upgrades over the S60.
The standard S70 is tipped to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K LTPS OLED flat display, the same size as the previous generation. Inside sits the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, a clear step up from the 8s Gen 3 in the S60. Camera reports list a 50MP main sensor, 8MP ultrawide and a 64MP Sony LYT-610 periscope with roughly 3x optical zoom.

Teleconverter support is the standout claim
The most interesting detail is support for vivo’s 200mm teleconverter. Until now this accessory has been limited to X-series flagships and select FE models. If the S70 receives it, this would be the first time an S-series phone offers the extra zoom option. Early engineering prototypes reportedly tested a rear screen, but that feature was dropped for the final design.
Battery capacity has been mentioned around 7,200mAh in some reports, with 90W charging. These numbers are not confirmed. vivo has not issued any official statement on the S70 yet.
Why this matters to Passionategeekz readers
vivo’s S series occupies a popular spot in India between mid-range and true flagships. Adding a proper periscope and teleconverter support would give buyers flagship-style zoom without the full X-series price. The chipset upgrade should also improve gaming and multitasking over the S60.
Indian availability and pricing remain unknown. Previous S-series phones have reached India a few months after the China launch. Readers interested in camera performance can compare current vivo options while waiting for official confirmation.

Passionategeekz Take
If the teleconverter claim holds, the S70 becomes more interesting than a routine refresh. vivo has been pushing imaging accessories on its higher models; bringing that capability lower expands the audience. As always with Chinese launch rumours, wait for official confirmation before making purchase decisions. The November window looks realistic given the volume of consistent leaks.
