vivo OriginOS 7 Beta Opens for 16 Devices: X200, iQOO 13 and More
Spread a Word
vivo has opened the second public beta registration round for OriginOS 7 in China. The programme covers selected phones from the vivo X and S series, iQOO smartphones and compatible tablets.
The new software focuses on a refreshed interface, smoother animations, more personalisation options and better multitasking. Users can try the beta before the stable release, but they should remember that test software may still have bugs.
Registration opened on October 29 and runs until November 12, 2026, in China. Updates are being delivered in stages instead of reaching every device at once.

Eligible vivo and iQOO devices
The published list includes these device families and models:
- vivo X Fold3 Pro and X Fold3
- vivo X200 Ultra, X200 Pro, X200 Pro mini, X200s and X200
- vivo S60 and S60 Vitality Edition
- vivo Pad5 Pro
- iQOO 13
- iQOO Neo10 Pro+, Neo10 Pro and Neo10
- iQOO Pad5 Pro
The X200 Pro satellite edition is also included in the published eligibility list. The programme is described as covering 16 device variants.
Each device must be running the required base software version before its beta registration can pass the version check. Users should check their phone’s current software and follow the registration instructions for their exact model.
OriginOS 7 beta rollout schedule
| Date | Planned rollout |
|---|---|
| October 29 | First 5,000 applicants |
| October 30 | Next 15,000 applicants |
| October 31 | Next 50,000 applicants |
| November 1 | Next 100,000 applicants |
| November 2 | Rollout to all applicants registered by this date |
| November 3–12 | Applicants are scheduled to receive the update on the day they register |
The schedule is a plan for the China beta programme. The timing of an update can still depend on the device, software version and registration status.
What is new in OriginOS 7?
OriginOS 7 adds more ways to change how a phone looks and feels. The interface includes glass-like visual effects, updated animations, more flexible home-screen layouts and improved Dark Mode options.
Users can also customise the lock screen with more clock styles and stickers. Interactive themes and Pet Pals add small animations that react to activities such as charging or tapping the screen.
Origin Workbench is another major feature. On supported devices, it helps users work with several apps in a more organised layout. This can be useful when switching between messages, notes and other tasks.
Not every feature is available on every phone. Some functions require specific hardware or software versions, and beta features may change before the stable release.
Is the beta available in India?
The current registration announcement covers selected China-market devices. It does not confirm that Indian vivo or iQOO phones can join this programme.
Users in India should wait for a regional announcement before trying to install a Chinese beta build. Software intended for another market may have different services, features and compatibility requirements.
Before installing any beta update, back up important files, keep enough free storage and make sure the battery is sufficiently charged. Beta software can have problems, so it may not be the best choice for a phone needed for work every day.

Passionategeekz Take
The second OriginOS 7 beta wave gives more vivo and iQOO users in China a chance to try the new software. Its visual changes, lock-screen tools and multitasking features make it worth watching.
However, a beta is not the same as a stable update. Users should check the eligibility rules for their exact model and remember that this registration schedule does not confirm an Indian rollout.
