Vivo has officially launched the Vivo Y31 Pro 5G in the Indian market, following weeks of leaks and speculation. The device is now listed on Vivo India’s official website, confirming its complete specifications, although the company has not yet revealed pricing or sale details. Interestingly, the handset appears to be a rebranded version of the Vivo T4x 5G, which debuted in India earlier this year.

The smartphone is equipped with a 6.72-inch LCD display offering a resolution of 2408 × 1080 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1050 nits peak brightness (HBM). It delivers a pixel density of 393 PPI and supports 83% NTSC colour gamut. Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC built on a 4nm process, paired with an octa-core CPU clocked at 2.5GHz. It comes with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM (expandable with an additional 8GB virtual RAM) and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage.
In terms of cameras, the Vivo Y31 Pro 5G features a dual rear setup comprising a 50MP primary lens with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor. The camera supports modes like Night, Portrait, Pro, and Panorama, along with 4K video recording at 30fps. For selfies, there’s an 8MP front camera with AI-assisted features such as AI Erase, AI Photo Enhance, and Dynamic Light notifications.
The device packs a massive 6500mAh battery backed by 44W FlashCharge technology, which can recharge the phone from 1% to 50% in about 40 minutes. Vivo claims it can provide up to 23.6 hours of video playback, 13.3 hours of navigation, or 12.9 hours of gaming on a single charge.
Design-wise, the Y31 Pro 5G boasts an ultra-slim quad-curved back panel with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The Dreamy White variant measures 16.57 × 7.63 × 0.819 cm and weighs 208g, while the Mocha Brown version is slightly slimmer at 0.809 cm and lighter at 204g. The phone has also undergone MIL-STD-810H military-grade tests for resistance against drops, shocks, and extreme weather conditions. It is IP64-rated, making it resistant to dust and splashes, with added support for wet and greasy-hand touch functionality.
Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, OTG, USB 2.0, and an infrared blaster, though NFC and FM radio are absent. It also integrates Vivo’s AI SuperLink technology, improving downlink sensitivity by 51% and uplink power by 31%. The phone runs on Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15 out of the box and comes bundled with a charger, USB cable, protective case, and pre-applied screen protector.
While Vivo has not yet disclosed the official pricing, earlier leaks suggest the 8GB+128GB model may cost around ₹18,999, and the 8GB+256GB model could be priced at ₹20,999. For comparison, the Vivo T4x 5G launched earlier this year at ₹14,999 without offers. Hence, the Y31 Pro 5G is expected to fall in a similar price range once Vivo confirms the details.
