Apple’s long-rumored foldable iPhone is once again making headlines. A new leak claims to reveal how Apple could present its first foldable smartphone at its upcoming event, with the device reportedly positioned as the iPhone Ultra.

The leaked graphic, shared by Majin Bu and credited to Harry Dunns, highlights several major features of the upcoming device. However, these details are still based on leaks and should not be treated as official Apple specifications.
A large 7.8-inch foldable display
The iPhone Ultra is expected to use a book-style folding design. According to the leaked graphic, it could feature a 7.8-inch Folio Retina XDR inner display when unfolded.
The outer screen is shown as a 5.5-inch Super Retina XDR display. This would allow the phone to work like a normal iPhone when closed while offering a much larger screen when opened.
The design shown in the leak also appears to focus heavily on a thin profile. The graphic calls it the “thinnest Apple product,” although Apple has not confirmed the actual thickness.

Liquid metal hinge and dual batteries
One of the biggest highlights is the rumored liquid metal hinge. Apple could use a new hinge design to make the foldable more durable while also helping reduce the visible crease.
The leaked graphic also mentions dual batteries, suggesting that battery cells could be split between both halves of the foldable body. This could help Apple make better use of the limited internal space.
A20 Pro and C2 modem
Performance could be another major selling point. The leak lists Apple’s A20 Pro chip alongside the C2 modem.
If accurate, the iPhone Ultra would be positioned as a premium flagship rather than simply Apple’s first attempt at a foldable phone. The A20 Pro could also bring improved performance and efficiency for demanding apps, gaming and Apple Intelligence features.
Dual 48MP camera system
The leaked specifications point to a dual 48MP Fusion camera system on the rear. The setup shown in the graphic appears to use two large camera sensors placed inside a raised camera module.
Apple could be focusing on image quality rather than adding a large number of cameras. The final camera specifications, including sensor sizes and zoom capabilities, remain unknown.
Touch ID could replace Face ID
Another interesting detail is Touch ID. The leak claims the iPhone Ultra could bring back Touch ID instead of Face ID.
A fingerprint sensor could be integrated into the side button, potentially saving valuable internal space inside the foldable chassis. The graphic also mentions Siri AI, suggesting Apple may give the device a strong focus on its next-generation AI features.
18MP under-display camera
The inner display is also shown with an 18MP under-display camera. If Apple manages to hide the camera beneath the foldable panel, the result could be a cleaner and more immersive large-screen experience.
Apple has yet to confirm whether the final production model will use this technology, so this should be treated as an early leak.
80% recycled titanium
The leaked graphic also claims that the iPhone Ultra could use 80% recycled titanium. This would fit with Apple’s continued focus on using recycled materials across its products.
The device is shown in two finishes, with black and white appearing to be the main options in the leaked concept.

Apple’s foldable iPhone has been one of the company’s most anticipated products for years. The latest leak suggests Apple could take a different approach from existing foldables by combining a large inner display, a compact outer screen and a very thin body.
Still, it is important to remember that the specifications shown above are based on leaked information. Apple has not officially confirmed the iPhone Ultra name, specifications, design or launch details.
If Apple delivers even close to what these leaks suggest, its first foldable iPhone could become one of the biggest smartphone launches of 2026.
