iQOO’s mysterious I2603 smartphone has finally given us a major clue about its identity. A fresh IMEI database listing now identifies the device as the iQOO Z12 Lite 5G.
But there is an interesting twist to this story. When I2603 first appeared in the EEC certification database alongside the iQOO 15 Ultra, many reports connected the mysterious model to iQOO’s upcoming global smartphone plans. Some reports even suggested that I2603 could be related to the iQOO 15 Ultra or another flagship model.
Now, our latest database finding tells a very different story.

I2603 was mistaken for iQOO 15 Ultra?
Back in July, two iQOO model numbers, V2546A and I2603, appeared in the EEC certification database.
The V2546A model was already known to belong to the Chinese version of the iQOO 15 Ultra. Because both devices appeared in the same EEC filing, several reports discussed them together and raised questions about whether I2603 could also be connected to the iQOO 15 Ultra’s international launch.

Our new IMEI finding changes the picture
A fresh IMEI database record spotted by us at Passionategeekz now shows something much more interesting. This means the mysterious I2603 that previously had no confirmed commercial name now appears to be the iQOO Z12 Lite 5G.
In other words, the device that was being discussed around the iQOO 15 Ultra global certification may actually be a completely different smartphone.
So what about the iQOO 15 Ultra?
The iQOO 15 Ultra itself is still a separate device. Its Chinese model number is V2546A, and that model appeared in the EEC database, providing a stronger indication that iQOO could bring the flagship outside China. :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}
The iQOO 15 Ultra is a high-end gaming-focused flagship with a 6.85-inch LTPO AMOLED display, 144Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. It also packs a 7,400mAh battery with 100W wired and 40W wireless charging.
Its gaming hardware includes an integrated active cooling fan and pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers. The phone also features three 50MP rear cameras, a 32MP selfie camera and IP68/IP69 protection. :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}
That is obviously a completely different product category from the Z12 Lite.
Looking at the current Z-series generation gives us an idea of what iQOO could be planning.

The iQOO Z11 Lite 5G focuses on battery life and everyday performance. It comes with a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G chipset.
The phone is available with up to 6GB RAM and 256GB storage, while its biggest highlight is a 6,500mAh battery with 44W FlashCharge.
The Z11 Lite also includes a 50MP Sony rear camera, a 5MP front camera, Android 16 with OriginOS 6 and IP65 dust and water resistance.

What could the Z12 Lite 5G bring?
While the Z12 Lite’s final specifications are not confirmed, early reports have suggested that iQOO could make some meaningful upgrades over the Z11 Lite.
Rumored specifications include a 6.77-inch 120Hz display, a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset and a massive battery that could reach around 8,000mAh. Some reports have also mentioned a 50MP + 2MP rear camera setup, a 16MP selfie camera and 33W charging. These specifications remain unofficial and should not be treated as confirmed. :contentReference[oaicite:3]{index=3}
