The CMF Phone 2 Pro and the iPhone 17 Air are two exciting phones taking very different paths.
Both offer 120Hz displays, but CMF goes with a flat FHD+ OLED, while the iPhone 17 Air uses a premium Samsung M14 panel with impressively slim 1.34mm bezels.
Performance-wise, the CMF Phone 2 Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage — solid for everyday tasks. In contrast, the iPhone 17 Air uses Apple’s latest A19 chip and 8GB RAM, promising top-tier speed and efficiency.
Cameras highlight another difference. The CMF Phone 2 Pro includes a 50MP main, 8MP ultrawide, and 50MP 2x telephoto, offering good flexibility but no OIS. The iPhone 17 Air focuses more on selfies, featuring a sharp 24MP front camera.
Other features show their priorities too. CMF provides a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging (charger included) and an Essential Key for shortcuts. Meanwhile, Apple has made the iPhone 17 Air super thin at just 5.5mm and has gone all-in on eSIM only — great for some, inconvenient for others.
Both phones bring strong options to the table, depending on what you value more: essential power at a good price, or cutting-edge design and performance.
Key Points:
- CMF Phone 2 Pro: Flat OLED, Dimensity 7300, essential features, bigger battery, value-focused.
- iPhone 17 Air: Premium display, A19 chip, slim design, eSIM only, selfie-focused.
