If you’re reading this, I’ve got your attention. You might be here to see a critical view of smartphones or to know more about the product without the brand hype. Either way, this review will give you a fair and honest opinion. I received the Vivo V60 5G review unit and used it as my daily driver. During this time, I noticed both the strengths and weaknesses of the device. If you’re planning to buy the Vivo V60, you’re in the right place—this review will help you decide whether it’s a good purchase or not.

Note:
To be very clear, this is an unbiased review. If you happen to disagree with my findings, you’re welcome to share your perspective. Also, the brand has not paid me to write this, so you’ll find both the good and the not-so-good aspects discussed openly. This article is touched by ChatGPT for better understanding while the experience is real.

Let’s dive in. Starting with the design, the Vivo V60 feels solid and premium, reminiscent of a flagship device. While it isn’t the slimmest phone, the 6.77-inch AMOLED display is impressive and immersive. The design language of the Vivo V60 is straightforward and elegant, especially in the spacious Gold variant, which adds a touch of sophistication. Compared to the Vivo T4R, it isn’t as slim, and at 200g, the device feels slightly heavy in hand

The auspicious Gold has a glass back that catches the light just right, giving it a premium feel perfect for photography lovers. Its slightly thick, vertical camera module looks like an eye and really shines in daylight, making the phone even more impressive and premium. At the bottom, you’ll find a speaker, microphone, USB tray, and a Type-C charging port, all neatly aligned horizontally.

This camera phone has a lot of features such as The front camera offers modes like Photo, Portrait, Night, Video, Micro Movie, High Resolution, and Dual View, perfect for capturing every moment. The rear camera is packed with features, including Photo, Portrait, Night, Video, Micro Movie, High Resolution, Panorama, Ultra HD Document, Slo-mo, Time-lapse, Supermoon, Astro, Pro, Snapshot, Food, Underwater Photography, Dual View, and Film Camera, giving you the flexibility to shoot any scene with precision and creativity.

The camera is definitely the showstopper on the Vivo V60 5G, grabbing all the attention—so much that the hardware can feel a bit overlooked. But the way the camera performs really gives you a hint of the phone’s overall power.

Vivo Introduces Vivo X Wedding Vlog with Vivo V60 5G which makes wedding moments super easy and fun. Just tap, shoot, and the app does the rest—adding music, effects, and editing everything into a ready-to-share video. No editing stress, no fuss—just instant, polished memories you can post straight to social media. It’s perfect for anyone who wants professional-looking vlogs without the hassle.

Here’s the reality: while the camera is impressive, the overall performance of the device doesn’t quite live up to expectations.

If you read the title carefully, you can easily guess what this article is about and what I’ve found to be its weaknesses. Starting with benchmark tests, I ran several evaluations on the Vivo V60 using various apps, including Antutu, CPU Throttling, 3DMark, AI Benchmarks, and finally burnout tests. Here are the in-depth results, complete with captured data.

The Vivo Vivo V60 5G turns in a confident mid-range performance across our test suite, pairing snappy everyday speed with capable graphics and fast storage. Below is a concise, constructive walk-through of each benchmark and what it means in real life, followed by a quick verdict and buying context.

Geekbench 6 (CPU): The phone scores 1233 (single-core) and 3517 (multi-core) on Android 15. In practice, this translates to fluid UI navigation, swift app launches, and dependable multitasking. Single-core responsiveness keeps daily tasks crisp, while the multi-core figure is ample for photo edits, social content creation, and juggling multiple apps. Disk Speed (UFS): With 1173 MB/s read and 361 MB/s write, storage feels quick when opening large apps, loading games, or restoring backups. The write figure is adequate, though large 4K video bursts or continuous file writes may occasionally feel slower than the read number suggests. AI Performance: An AI score of 2750 (rated “Great Performance”) indicates smooth on-device enhancements—think smarter image processing, voice features, and real-time translations—without leaning too hard on cloud services. Day to day, this helps camera post-processing and assistant features feel snappier.

3DMark Wild Life (GPU): The device posts an overall score of 6388 at an average of 38.25 FPS. That’s perfectly serviceable for casual to moderate gaming at balanced settings. Competitive titles will run best with medium graphics and adaptive refresh/FPS caps to maintain consistency over longer sessions.

CPU Throttling (Sustained Load): Under stress, the phone’s compute score settles around 62.6 with approximately 57% performance throttling.

Final Verdict

The Vivo V2511 (V60 5G) delivers solid mid-range performance with strong CPU and graphics results, along with impressive storage speeds. However, performance throttling under heavy load remains its biggest weakness.

However, during long gaming sessions or demanding workloads, the phone does throttle its performance to manage heat, which means it might not feel as fast under continuous heavy use.

For daily use, multitasking, and casual gaming, it works smoothly, but heavy users may find limits during long, demanding tasks.

The Vivo V60 5G in India starts at ₹36,999 for 8GB+128GB, ₹38,999 for 8GB+256GB, ₹40,999 for 12GB+256GB, and ₹45,999 for 16GB+512GB, and is available through Amazon India, Flipkart, Vivo’s official store, and retailers like Vijay Sales.
