Tecno Pova 8 Pro vs Competition
The Pova 8 Pro enters a highly competitive price segment. The OPPO Reno 16c starts at ₹46,999 and uses the Dimensity 7300. Its ₹49,999 8GB + 256GB variant directly matches the Pova 8 Pro’s starting configuration.
The Reno 16c also offers a 50MP primary camera, 8MP ultra-wide and 50MP 3.5X telephoto camera. It has a larger 7,000mAh battery, 80W charging and faster UFS 3.1 storage.
The OnePlus 13s starts at ₹54,999 for 12GB + 256GB and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite. It features a 6.32-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, 80W charging, a 50MP main camera and a 50MP telephoto camera.
The Xiaomi 17T starts at ₹59,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model. It is powered by the Dimensity 8500-Ultra and features a 50MP primary camera, 50MP 5X periscope telephoto and 12MP ultra-wide camera.
The Xiaomi 17T also packs a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery with 67W charging and offers a stronger software update commitment.
Final Thoughts
The Tecno Pova 8 Pro is a major step up for the Pova series. Its 144Hz AMOLED display, dedicated P1 Graphic Chip, Sony LYTIA 700C camera, 6,500mAh battery and Alive Matrix Display make it an interesting option.
But its ₹49,999 starting price puts it into a much tougher category. Buyers can now find competitors with more powerful processors, faster charging, better camera systems or longer software support.
If gaming, display quality, battery life and a unique design are your priorities, the Pova 8 Pro is worth considering. However, buyers looking for maximum performance or long-term software support may find stronger alternatives at a similar price.
What do you think about the Tecno Pova 8 Pro at ₹49,999? Would you pick it over the OnePlus 13s, OPPO Reno 16c or Xiaomi 17T? Let us know in the comments.
