Xiaomi has launched the REDMI Book 2027 series in China. The new lineup includes the REDMI Book 14 and REDMI Book 16, offering two screen sizes, Intel Core Series 3 processors and a large 72Wh battery.
The laptops are designed for everyday work, study and productivity. They also include Xiaomi’s Super XiaoAI 2.0 assistant and features that connect compatible Xiaomi devices.

Eligible Chinese buyers may receive government subsidies that reduce the prices. These offers are subject to local eligibility rules and do not apply to Indian buyers.
Sales in China are scheduled to begin on November 3 at 10 AM local time. First-sale buyers are offered a 20,000mAh power bank. Xiaomi has not announced an Indian price or an India launch date for these laptops.
Two Screen Sizes for Different Needs
The REDMI Book 14 2027 has a 14-inch display with a 2.8K resolution, a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and up to 500 nits brightness. It weighs around 1.28kg and measures 13.95mm thick, making it the more portable option.
The REDMI Book 16 2027 has a larger 16-inch display with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Its listed brightness reaches 400 nits. The laptop weighs around 1.56kg and is designed for people who prefer more screen space for documents, spreadsheets and multitasking.
Intel Core Series 3 Processors
Both laptops use Intel Core Series 3 processors based on the Wildcat Lake platform. Buyers can choose the Core 5 320 or Core 7 350, paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and either a 512GB or 1TB SSD.
The memory runs at a listed speed of 7,467MT/s. Both models use integrated Intel Graphics, so they are intended mainly for everyday productivity, office work, browsing and light creative tasks rather than demanding gaming workloads.
A dual-fan cooling system and a 10mm heat pipe help manage temperatures. The launch information lists stable performance output of 30W. Actual performance will depend on the application, power settings and operating conditions.
72Wh Battery and 68W Charging
Battery capacity is one of the key upgrades. Both laptops have a 72Wh battery and support 68W charging.
The published figures include up to 19.5 hours in a simulated office-use test and local video playback lasting around 1.27 days. These are manufacturer-reported test results, not a guarantee of the same battery life for every user.
The larger battery could be useful for students and professionals who work away from a power outlet. Screen brightness, wireless connectivity, applications and background tasks will all affect real-world endurance.
Super XiaoAI 2.0 and Xiaomi Ecosystem Features
The REDMI Book 2027 series comes with Super XiaoAI 2.0, Xiaomi’s AI assistant for supported productivity tasks. It can help create presentation content, summarise documents and generate other work-related material.
The laptops also support Xiaomi ecosystem features such as cross-device file transfers, shared keyboard and mouse controls, connected-device functions and remote control through compatible Xiaomi devices.
These features may be most useful for people who already own Xiaomi phones or tablets. Availability and functionality can depend on the software version, region and connected device.
Ports and Connectivity
The laptops include two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, HDMI 2.1 TMDS and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4.
The REDMI Book 16 also has a full-size backlit keyboard with a dedicated numeric keypad. Both models run the Chinese edition of Windows 11 Home and include a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button.
