Realme has officially confirmed the launch of its next smartphone, the Realme Neo8, which is set to arrive later this month. The company is positioning the device as a “new-generation trendy gaming flagship,” marking it as one of Realme’s first major launches of the year.

Images of the Neo8 have already surfaced on social media ahead of the announcement, giving an early look at its design. The phone is expected to feature a square camera module placed at the top-left corner, paired with a glowing “awakening halo” design element similar to what was seen on the Realme GT Neo 5. This visual style clearly targets younger users and mobile gaming enthusiasts.

Well-known tipster Digital Chat Station previously hinted that the Neo8 would debut in January, and Realme’s latest teaser now confirms that timeline. According to leaks, the smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, placing it firmly in the high-performance segment.
In terms of build quality, the Neo8 is said to adopt a metal mid-frame combined with a glass back panel. The device is also expected to feature a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and offer full water resistance, indicating a more premium construction than previous Neo-series models.
One of the biggest highlights of the Realme Neo8 is its battery capacity. Reports suggest that the phone will pack an 8,000mAh-class battery, which would be a major advantage for extended gaming sessions and heavy daily usage. Additionally, the company is rumored to include two undisclosed “hidden” features, though details remain under wraps for now.
On the display front, the Neo8 is tipped to feature a large 6.78-inch Samsung LTPS flat panel with 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. This setup should deliver smooth visuals and fast touch response, making it well-suited for competitive gaming. For photography, the phone is expected to include a 50MP primary rear camera.
Adding more credibility to these leaks, a Realme smartphone with the model number RMX8899 has recently cleared 3C certification. Previous reports suggest this device is indeed the upcoming Neo8, further indicating that the launch is imminent.
With its flagship-grade chipset, ultra-high refresh rate display, and massive battery, the Realme Neo8 is shaping up to be one of the most aggressive gaming-focused smartphones in its segment this year.
