Realme Harry Potter Phone Teased in India, Launch Set for September 8

Realme is preparing a magical surprise for smartphone fans in India. The company has started teasing a Harry Potter-themed smartphone on Flipkart, and a leaked render gives us an early look at what could be the Realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition.

The official teaser does not reveal the phone’s name yet, but it shows three vintage-style suitcases with the words “LET THE MAGIC BEGIN” and a coming-soon message. Realme executive Chase Xu has also teased September 8 for the reveal.

A Hogwarts-themed Realme 16 Pro could be coming

A leaked render shared by tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, which was later removed, appears to show a customized Realme 16 Pro. The phone has a dark brown textured back, gold-colored edges and a large camera module.

The most obvious Harry Potter detail is the Hogwarts crest placed on the rear panel. The design also includes Harry Potter branding, giving the phone a much more distinctive appearance than the standard Realme 16 Pro.

Realme has not officially confirmed that the leaked phone is the final product, so the design and specifications should be treated as unconfirmed for now.

The regular Realme 16 Pro already packs serious hardware

If the special edition uses the same hardware as the standard Realme 16 Pro, buyers could get a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max chipset.

The standard model also comes with a large 7,000mAh battery and 80W fast charging. Photography is handled by a 200MP primary camera with optical image stabilisation, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP front camera.

The leaked Harry Potter edition is reportedly associated with a 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration, although Realme has not confirmed this yet.

Launch is expected tomorrow

Realme’s teaser campaign points to September 8 for the next announcement. The company is expected to reveal the phone’s official name, design, specifications, pricing and availability during the event or campaign.

The Harry Potter branding could make this one of Realme’s more attention-grabbing special editions. Instead of simply changing the colour of an existing phone, the leaked design suggests a completely themed rear panel with Hogwarts graphics and gold detailing.

For Harry Potter fans who also enjoy smartphones, this could be an interesting collector-focused device. More importantly for Realme, the collaboration gives the brand another way to attract attention in India’s crowded smartphone market.
