Nothing has raised $200 million in a Series C funding round, boosting its valuation to $1.3 billion. The investment marks a pivotal step in the company’s new strategic direction: building an AI-native platform that merges hardware and software into a unified ecosystem.

Nothing highlighted its strong foundation for this transition, citing shipments of millions of devices, over $1 billion in cumulative sales, and a remarkable 150% growth in 2024. The company says its established design, manufacturing, and supply chain networks now allow it to launch new consumer hardware rapidly and globally—without the bureaucratic hurdles faced by larger tech giants.
Reimagining Operating Systems with AI
Nothing believes that while AI has advanced, the smartphone experience remains outdated. Its vision is to create “a billion different operating systems for a billion different people”, where user interfaces, recommendations, and experiences adapt uniquely to each individual. This hyper-personalized OS approach will first arrive on smartphones, audio devices, and smartwatches, with future expansion to smart glasses and even humanoid robots.
The company emphasizes that its direct control over the “last-mile distribution point” gives it a unique advantage in creating an AI OS capable of truly understanding and serving users effectively.
The Next Generation of AI Devices
While smartphones will remain central, Nothing predicts the emergence of AI-native devices designed to be context-aware and available at the moment of need. These devices will move beyond passive functionality, turning contextual understanding into actionable responses. The first of these products is expected to debut next year.
Funding Details
The Series C round was led by Tiger Global, with participation from GV, Highland Europe, EQT, Latitude, I2BF, and Tapestry. Strategic investors also joined, including Qualcomm Ventures and entrepreneur Nikhil Kamath. In addition to institutional funding, Nothing announced plans for a new “Community Round”, allowing supporters to invest directly in its growth journey.
With this funding, Nothing positions itself not just as a smartphone maker, but as a technology company shaping the next generation of AI-driven devices and personalized operating systems.
