Motorola has confirmed that the Edge 70 Neo is coming to India.
The company has not yet shared the phone’s complete specifications
or price, but its arrival is now official.

The Edge 70, meanwhile, is already available and has become one
of Motorola’s slim and stylish phones. It has a 6.7-inch 1.5K
AMOLED display, Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, 50MP cameras and
a 5,000mAh battery.

This makes the comparison simple. Should you buy the Edge 70 now,
or wait for the smaller Edge 70 Neo?

Display

The Edge 70 has a large 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz
refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. It is a good choice for
watching videos, gaming and scrolling.

The Edge 70 Neo is expected to use a much smaller display of
around 6.3 inches. This could make it easier to hold and use
with one hand.

The exact resolution and brightness of the Edge 70 Neo have not
been confirmed yet. The leaked specifications should therefore
be treated as unconfirmed.

Camera

The Edge 70 has a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera,
along with a 50MP selfie camera. Motorola also focuses heavily
on AI camera features.

The Edge 70 Neo is more exciting on paper because a leaked report
points to a possible 200MP main camera. A 50MP ultra-wide camera
and 10MP telephoto camera have also been mentioned in earlier
leaks.

However, Motorola has not confirmed these camera specifications.
The leaked 200MP camera should not be treated as official until
the company announces the phone.

Performance

The Edge 70 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor with
8GB RAM and 256GB storage in its India configuration.

Earlier Edge 70 Neo leaks point to a MediaTek Dimensity 7450
processor, up to 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB storage.

The Edge 70 Neo could also be one of Motorola’s first phones to
ship with Android 17. This has not been officially confirmed yet.

Battery

The Edge 70 packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 68W TurboPower
charging. It also supports 15W wireless charging.

Earlier Edge 70 Neo leaks suggest a 5,000mAh battery with
60W charging. Some newer reports have mentioned a larger battery,
so the final capacity needs to be confirmed by Motorola.

For now, the Edge 70 has the advantage because its battery and
charging specifications are confirmed.

Design

The Edge 70 is known for its very slim design. It measures around
5.99mm thick and weighs about 159 grams.

The Edge 70 Neo is expected to follow the compact design idea.
The leaked render shows a slim phone with a centered punch-hole
display and a simple camera layout.

The smaller screen could make the Edge 70 Neo more comfortable
for people who do not like very large phones.

Software

The Edge 70 launched with Android 16 and Motorola’s Hello UI.

The Edge 70 Neo could launch with Android 17. If this happens,
it would give the Neo a newer software starting point.

Motorola has not yet confirmed the Edge 70 Neo’s final software
version or update policy.

The Motorola Edge 70 Neo has suddenly become one of the more
interesting upcoming Motorola phones. Its India launch is now
