Motorola is making a serious return to the premium smartwatch market with the new Moto Watch Ultra. The smartwatch has been launched at IFA 2026 and brings features that were missing from Motorola’s simpler recent watches, including Wear OS 6, LTE connectivity and a full Google app experience.
The Moto Watch Ultra starts at €429 in Europe, which is around ₹47,200 before any Indian taxes or local pricing adjustments. Motorola says the watch will reach selected markets across Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, North America and Asia-Pacific in the coming weeks.

Moto Watch Ultra specifications and features
The watch comes with a 1.5-inch circular 2.5D curved pOLED display with a 466 x 466-pixel resolution. The panel supports a variable 1Hz to 60Hz refresh rate and can reach up to 2,700 nits of peak brightness. It also supports an Always-On Display and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The body uses stainless steel and measures around 46mm, while the watch weighs about 51 grams. It also gets IP68 dust and water protection along with a 5ATM rating, making it suitable for swimming and everyday outdoor use.
Inside, the Moto Watch Ultra uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 platform with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The smartwatch runs Wear OS 6, giving users access to the Google Play Store and popular apps such as Google Maps, Google Messages and YouTube Music.
Google Gemini is also supported, while Motorola has added its own Qira AI assistant. This makes the watch more than just a device for checking notifications, as users can interact with AI directly from their wrist.
LTE and Polar health features
One of the biggest upgrades is built-in LTE connectivity through an eSIM. This allows the Moto Watch Ultra to handle calls, messages and notifications without always needing a smartphone nearby.
Motorola has also partnered with Polar for health and fitness tracking. The watch includes features such as Nightly Recharge for recovery tracking, Sleep Plus Stages for sleep analysis and Serene breathing exercises. There is also a Running Coach feature designed to provide guidance during walks and runs.
For outdoor tracking, the watch includes dual-band GPS. It also supports Google Wallet, allowing compatible cards to be used for contactless payments.
Battery and availability
The Moto Watch Ultra packs a 550mAh battery and is rated for up to two days of active use with the Always-On Display switched off. Motorola says a 15-minute charge can provide up to 24 hours of active usage.
The smartwatch will be available from September 10 in the US for $349.99, while European pricing starts at €429. Availability and pricing will vary by region.
With Wear OS 6, LTE, a bright 2,700-nit display, Google services, AI features and Polar-powered health tracking, the Moto Watch Ultra marks a major step up for Motorola’s smartwatch lineup. It also puts the company in much closer competition with premium Wear OS watches from Samsung and Google.
