Xiaomi has expanded its smart home portfolio in India with the launch of two new air purifiers — the Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 and Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact. The new models are designed to address everyday indoor air pollution, allergens, dust and household odours while offering smart monitoring and control features.

Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6
The Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 is the more powerful of the two models and features a Pentaclean sensing system with upgraded five-sensor temperature, PM1, dust, humidity and other air-quality monitoring capabilities.
The purifier uses a six-layer filtration system, combining a primary filter, Xiaomi’s high-efficiency filter and an activated-carbon layer. According to Xiaomi’s specifications, the filtration system is designed to capture airborne particles and allergens while also helping reduce household odours.

The device is rated to cover rooms of up to 400 square feet, making it suitable for bedrooms, living rooms and other larger indoor spaces. Its high-efficiency filtration system is claimed to deliver 99.97% filtration efficiency for relevant fine particles.
The Air Purifier 6 also supports smart-home features through the Xiaomi Home app. Users can monitor air quality and control the purifier remotely from a smartphone. A quieter sleep mode is also included, with the purifier designed to operate at noise levels as low as 20dB.
Other highlighted features include protection against airborne allergens, dust and pollen, along with an air-quality indicator that provides a quick visual reference of indoor air conditions.
Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact
The Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact takes a smaller and more affordable approach. It is designed for compact spaces while retaining Xiaomi’s multi-stage filtration technology.
The purifier uses a three-layer filtration system, consisting of a primary filter, Xiaomi’s high-efficiency filter and an activated-carbon filter. Xiaomi says the system offers 99.97% filtration efficiency for fine particles.

The compact model is designed for easy placement on tables, floors and other small spaces. Its smaller footprint makes it particularly suited to bedrooms, home offices and other personal spaces where a full-size purifier may not be necessary.
The purifier also supports the Xiaomi Home app, allowing users to monitor filter life and receive notifications when the filter needs to be replaced. Xiaomi says the unit consumes as little as 27W during operation.
A sleep mode is included as well, with the purifier capable of operating at around 20dB, helping minimise noise while sleeping.
Pricing and availability in India
The Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 is priced at ₹19,999, while the Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact is priced at ₹7,999 in India.
Both models will be available in White and will go on sale from September 2, 2026.
Consumers will be able to purchase the new air purifiers through Mi.com, Flipkart, Amazon.in, Blinkit and Xiaomi retail stores.
With the two models positioned at different price points and room sizes, Xiaomi is targeting both users looking for higher-capacity air purification and those seeking a compact, affordable option for smaller rooms.
