General Mobile has introduced the GM 26 One 5G, a new smartphone that brings 5G connectivity, a big 120Hz display, a 6000mAh battery and Android 16. The phone is available in Midnight Blue and Pearl White.The GM 26 One 5G comes with two memory options. Buyers can choose between 6GB RAM with 128GB storage or 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. Storage can also be expanded with a microSD card through the shared SIM 2 slot.
The phone features a large 6.75-inch LCD display with a 720 x 1600 HD+ resolution. The 120Hz refresh rate should make scrolling, animations and everyday use feel smoother.
The display can reach up to 550 nits in HBM mode and has Panda MN228 protection. General Mobile says the screen covers around 90.74% of the front body.
Under the hood, the GM 26 One 5G is powered by the Unisoc T8200 chipset. The 6nm chip has two cores running at up to 2.3GHz and six efficiency cores reaching 2.1GHz. Graphics are handled by the Arm Mali-G57 GPU.
The phone supports 5G along with dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and VoWiFi. It also supports GPS, Galileo, GLONASS and BDS for navigation.
For photography, the GM 26 One 5G has a 50MP main rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and PDAF autofocus. The camera app includes Portrait, Night, HDR, Panorama, AI, Film, Slow Motion and Time Lapse modes.
The main camera can record video at up to 2K resolution at 30 frames per second. A small 0.08MP secondary rear camera is also included.
On the front, there is a 5MP selfie camera with software support for 8MP images. It can record 1080p video at 30fps.
A major highlight of the phone is its 6000mAh battery. General Mobile claims up to 10.5 hours of video playback, 30 hours of music playback and 6.5 hours of gaming.
The phone supports 10W wired charging through a USB Type-C port. It runs Android 16 out of the box, giving users access to Google’s latest Android platform.
Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, gyroscope, compass, accelerometer, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor. The phone also has IPX4 water resistance and IP5X dust resistance.
The General Mobile GM 26 One 5G measures 168.25 x 77.64 x 8.68mm and weighs 210 grams. It also includes a single speaker, FM radio, USB OTG and Google apps such as Google Play Store, Google Photos and Google Drive.
