The watch uses a lightweight body that weighs around 26 grams and measures just 9.9mm in thickness. Its flat-sided frame is paired with 2.5D curved glass, while a quick-release strap system allows users to change the band easily. The smartwatch also supports Bluetooth calling thanks to its built-in microphone and speaker. Users can make and receive calls directly from the watch when it is connected to a smartphone. Quick-reply support is also available for responding to messages without taking out the phone.

For health and fitness tracking, the Redmi Watch 6 Active can monitor heart rate, blood oxygen levels, sleep and stress. It supports more than 140 sports activities and can automatically recognise several common exercises, including walking, running and cycling.

The watch is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. iPhone users can also sync health and workout information with Apple Health and use the wearable as a remote shutter for the phone’s camera.

Xiaomi has also added support for QR-based offline payments through WeChat Pay and Alipay. However, this feature will not be active immediately and is expected to arrive through a software update in September.
