Google appears to be working on an exciting new theme pack feature for its Pixel smartphones, as discovered in the latest Android 16 QPR1 Beta 1 release. Hidden within the Pixel’s Wallpaper & Style app, a new button is set to launch a dedicated Pixel Customization Packs app, indicating that the company plans to offer enhanced theme options soon.
While details remain limited, the new feature will likely introduce several preset theme packs designed to personalize the Pixel experience further. The alternative possibility of a full-fledged theme store, similar to offerings by other Android manufacturers, seems less likely at this stage.

The upcoming update will add a “Discover Pixel themes” option prominently in the Wallpaper & Style app, positioned above the existing lock screen and home screen customization settings. The code strings, including “theme_packs_description,” hint that these theme packs will bundle multiple personalization options to refresh the look of the device.
This move aligns with Google’s ongoing efforts to expand Pixel’s customization capabilities, providing users with more ways to tailor their phones to their style preferences.
Pixel users can expect this feature to roll out alongside or soon after the official Android 16 QPR1 update. Stay tuned for more updates on this and other Google Pixel enhancements.
