Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra Set to Gain Upgraded Privacy Display

Samsung is preparing to expand one of its most practical recent features. According to a new report by SamMobile, the upcoming Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra will receive an upgraded version of Privacy Display.

The feature first appeared on the Galaxy S26 Ultra earlier this year. It uses Samsung Display’s Flex Magic Pixel technology to sharply narrow viewing angles so people sitting beside you cannot easily read your screen. Users can turn it on for the whole display or for specific apps.

What changes on the S27

This will be the first time Samsung offers Privacy Display on a non-Ultra Galaxy S model. Both the S27 Pro and S27 Ultra are expected to get the improved version, which also raises overall screen brightness. The higher brightness should make the phones easier to read in direct sunlight even when the privacy mode is active.

The standard Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ are not expected to include the feature. Samsung appears to be keeping it for its higher-end models.

Earlier reports had suggested the feature might reach every S27 model. The latest information from SamMobile clarifies that only the Pro and Ultra will receive it, along with the brightness upgrades.

Why this matters to Passionategeekz readers

Privacy features that actually work in everyday situations are rare. Many Indian users check messages, banking apps or work chats in crowded trains, offices or cafés. An upgraded Privacy Display that also improves outdoor visibility could become a real differentiator when the S27 series arrives.

Samsung has already shown the technology works on the S26 Ultra. Bringing a better version to the Pro model widens the audience that can use it without jumping to the most expensive Ultra.

Readers comparing current flagships can look at how the existing Galaxy S26 Ultra handles privacy features alongside other high-end phones available in India.

Passionategeekz Take

Privacy Display is one of the few hardware features that solves a daily annoyance rather than adding another camera mode. Expanding a better version to the S27 Pro is a smart move if the reports hold. The standard models missing out will push some buyers toward the Pro, which is exactly what Samsung wants. We will know more once official details emerge closer to the expected early-2027 launch window. Until then, treat this as a well-sourced rumour.
