Xiaomi is making waves again in the electric vehicle space with the YU7 series, expanding its EV footprint beyond the sporty SU7. The latest variant in the YU7 lineup, revealed through a regulatory filing in China, is a mid-size SUV boasting a remarkable 835 km range—a clear statement to competitors like the Tesla Model Y and Xpeng G7.
Equipped with a 235 kW motor delivering over 315 horsepower, the YU7 combines performance with impressive efficiency, consuming just 13.3 kWh per 100 km. While its design remains unchanged—with the sleek closed grille and “water drop” headlights—it stands out through sheer capability. Measuring nearly 5 meters in length with a 3,000 mm wheelbase, it promises both style and interior space.
Slated to launch between June and July, the new YU7 long-range model strengthens Xiaomi’s position in China’s booming EV market and signals its readiness to challenge established players.
