Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Redmi Pad 2, a feature-packed Android tablet designed for productivity, entertainment, and mobility. Powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra (6nm) processor and running on Android 15 with HyperOS 2, this tablet brings flagship-like performance at a competitive price point. It comes with GSM, HSPA, and LTE support for cellular variants, offering seamless network connectivity across 2G, 3G, and 4G bands.
The Redmi Pad 2 features a sleek and lightweight aluminum alloy body, measuring just 7.4mm thick and weighing around 510g to 519g, making it comfortable for both extended use and portability. The tablet also includes stylus support, allowing users to take notes or sketch directly on the device—great for students and creatives.
The front is dominated by an 11.0-inch IPS LCD display with 1 billion colors, 90Hz refresh rate, and up to 600 nits brightness, offering sharp visuals with a 1600 x 2560 pixel resolution and an 83% screen-to-body ratio. Audio experience is enhanced by four Dolby Atmos stereo speakers and Hi-Res audio (24-bit/192kHz) support, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired audio fans.
In terms of performance, the Helio G100 Ultra octa-core chipset (2x Cortex-A76 + 6x Cortex-A55) paired with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU ensures smooth multitasking and gaming. The tablet is available in multiple storage variants including 128GB 4GB RAM, 128GB 6GB RAM, and 256GB 8GB RAM, all using UFS 2.2 storage. There is also a microSDXC slot for expandable storage.

However, it’s worth noting some limitations. The Redmi Pad 2 does not support wireless charging, NFC, or eSIM functionality. It also lacks waterproofing, so care should be taken when using it in humid environments. It does not support WiFi 7, operating instead on the dual-band WiFi 5 standard, and its USB-C port is USB 2.0, not USB 3.0.
Despite these omissions, the Xiaomi Redmi Pad 2 is a strong contender in the mid-range tablet market, offering a well-rounded package for media consumption, productivity, and learning. For those not dependent on features like NFC or waterproofing, it delivers outstanding value.
