Wind Breaker: First information about the real film

The Mangareihe Wind Breaker by Satoru Nii will be published as a real film in December. The first film sequences and still images from production have now been published.

The shooting took place completely in Okinawa between February and April of this year. A large open -air set was created, for which a local shopping street was rented and elaborately redesigned. This serves as a backdrop for the fictional “East Wind Shopping Street” from history.

The six main characters of the “Bofurin” group are shown in the first published motifs. The short films contain dynamic combat sequences.

Kentaro Hagiwara, known for work such as “Blue Period”, is responsible for the direction. The script wrote Yosuke Masaike, awarded for “Keep your hands off eizouken!”. Both Hagiwara as well as Masaike and producer Yoshitaka Kamo have commented on the project with statements.

The manga “Wind Breaker” tells the story of the student Haruka Sakura. He joins the notorious Fukurō High and joins the “Bofurin” group, which ensures order in her district. The series appears in the Kōdansha publishing house magazine. In addition to the film, there are already anime series, a stage adaptation and a video game.
