[CNMO Technology News]The problem of difficulty in backup WeChat chat records needs to be solved! According to Passionategeekz, there have been reports recently that WeChat is optimizing the function of chat record backup and supports various storage devices such as USB flash drives. In response, WeChat responded that it is testing the optimization of chat record backup function in a small range.
According to WeChat’s official introduction, compared with the current support for backup to computers, the optimized function allows users to back up chat records to external storage devices (such as USB drives, mobile hard drives) through WeChat on their mobile phones, and can create and manage multiple backup files, and support automatic backup. At present, this feature update is continuing to expand the scope of testing.
It is reported that the specific path for backup of chat records is “WeChat Settings-General-Chat Records and Migration-Backup and Recovery”. If the user’s WeChat is in the grayscale test range of this function, you will see that backup and recovery can choose “Backup to computer, USB flash drive and other storage devices” or “support automatic backup”. The backup range can be selected for all chats or specified chats, or the specified time period can be selected. In addition, users can also enable automatic backup, and support the backup to be paused when the battery capacity is less than 20%.
Passionategeekz noticed that WeChat users currently need to cooperate with the mobile phone and computer to complete the chat record migration, and the operation process is relatively cumbersome. The new feature of this grayscale test simplifies the backup path, and users can directly select local storage devices without relying on cloud or specific network environments. Of course, the addition of the automatic backup function can help users regularly synchronize important conversations to avoid loss of information data due to device failure or misdeletion.
