[CNMO Technology News]On June 23, Huang Tao, vice president of vivo products, posted on his official social account, sharing some of the highlights of the upcoming vivo X Fold5. As vivo’s latest generation of folding screen mobile phones, X Fold5 not only improves its thin and light design and performance configuration, but also makes new attempts in cross-ecological interconnection.
Huang Tao said that most of the current folding screen users are mobile office users, and they often have multiple system devices including iOS and MacOS. Ecological interoperability is crucial to their efficiency. The design concept of vivo X Fold5 does not require users to give up their original ecosystem, but hopes to become a bridge between different ecology and provide more freedom of choice.
According to him, under the premise of obtaining user authorization, vivo X Fold5 can realize the flow of telephone information with the iPhone, support remote control of Mac computers, and can be used as an extended screen of Mac. In addition, the phone can also achieve seamless connection with Apple devices such as Apple Watch and AirPods. Huang Tao emphasized that vivo’s goal is not to replace the iPhone, but to become a “buckle” in the Apple ecosystem, helping users switch more flexibly between Android and iOS.
However, he also frankly pointed out that the implementation of these interconnection functions depends on relevant interfaces opened by Apple. If Apple adjusts its interface policy in the future, some functions may be restricted or unavailable. Despite uncertainty, vivo still chose to invest resources for development.
