Vivo is set to officially unveil its S30 smartphone series in China at the end of May, according to a statement by Product VP Ouyang Weifeng. The lineup includes the Vivo S30 and a compact S30 Pro Mini, both offering flat screens, substantial batteries, and a sleek aesthetic that’s already drawing comparisons to Apple’s premium models.
The S30 Pro Mini will sport a 6.31-inch display, while the standard S30 will feature a larger 6.67-inch screen. Both handsets will come equipped with 6,500mAh batteries, setting a new bar for power endurance in slim-profile smartphones.
A teaser image shared by Weifeng highlights the design symmetry between the two devices — slim bezels, centered hole-punch selfie cameras, and controls aligned to the right edge. Notably, the Vivo S30 Pro Mini has been showcased next to an iPhone 16 Pro Max, appearing even thinner, with a stylishly raised camera module and a pastel blue finish.
Beyond aesthetics, leaks suggest that the S30 Pro Mini is not just a looker. It’s tipped to feature 100W wired fast charging, wireless charging, and a high-performance sub-flagship processor. Camera capabilities are also expected to be strong, with a 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens likely included — a spec rarely seen in compact models.
This launch positions Vivo to cater to users who value both battery endurance and sleek design, potentially undercutting flagship rivals on both size and price. As more specs surface in the days ahead, the S30 series could emerge as one of 2025’s most well-balanced mid-premium offerings.
