Passionategeekz According to June 22, CCTV reported today that since entering the China Space Station on April 25, three astronauts from the Shenzhou 20 crew, Chen Dong, Chen Zhongrui and Wang Jie, are about to work and live in orbit for two months, and various experimental tests are being carried out in an orderly manner.
In the field of aerospace medical experiments, the Shen Twenty Crew completed behavioral tests using relevant equipment. The obtained data will be used to explore the microgravity environment, pay attention to the impact of focus changes on astronauts’ upper and lower field of vision, etc., to provide reference for subsequent mission procedures and human-computer interaction design.
In addition, astronauts continue to conduct collaborative research with intelligent flight robots in the cabin. Through experiments such as human-machine spatial relationships and robot behavior representation, they explore efficient collaboration methods between the crew and the smart assistant “Xiaohang”. Research related to microgravity combustion science is also continuing.
The China Manned Space Engineering Office stated that since the successful entry into the space station assembly on April 25, the Shenzhou 20 astronaut crew has completed rotation with the Shenzhou 19 astronaut crew, maintenance and care of the space station platform, living and health guarantee, on-orbit installation of the radial door protective device of the node cabin, in-orbital environmental monitoring and equipment inspection and maintenance, out-of-cabin space suit patrol inspection and testing, material inventory, etc., and carried out on-orbit training projects such as medical rescue drills, and various space scientific (test) test tasks undertaken are steadily advancing.
Passionategeekz previously reported that at 17:17 Beijing time on April 24, the Long March 2 F Yao 20 carrier rocket carrying the Shenzhou 20 manned spacecraft was ignited and launched at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The Shenzhou 20 manned spacecraft successfully separated from the rocket and entered the pre-determined orbit.
This mission is the fifth manned flight mission in the application and development stage of the space station, and it is also the 35th manned space project flight mission. The main purpose of the mission is to complete in-orbit rotation with the Shenzhou 19 crew, stay in the space station for about 6 months, carry out space science and application practice (test) experiments, implement astronauts’ out-of-cabin activities and cargo entry and exit, and carry out space debris protection devices installation, out-of-cabin loads and out-of-cabin equipment installation and recovery.
