Adjustment focus includes resetting of spring and shock absorbers, greatly increasing the negative camber angle of the front wheel (to about −2.0 degrees), through enhanced upper support, improved steering joints, and a stronger lower control arm bushing.
Volkswagen has also adjusted the electronic steering system, DCC dynamic chassis control system and vehicle dynamic management system to match this more advanced hardware settings.
To match the chassis upgrade, Volkswagen equipped the Edition 50 with exclusively developed Bridgestone Potenza Race semi-hot tire, with specifications of 235/35 R19.
